Train To Teach

Nationally, there is a drive to recruit and retain thousands of teachers, this means that there are an ever-increasing number of ways into teaching. We work closely with Initial Teacher Training providers to ensure that we offer opportunities to train and develop enthusiastic teachers with a view to ensuring we offer the best possible practice to our students.

We currently work with the following providers:

Gorse SCITT – Outstanding Initial Teacher Training across Leeds, Bradford and East Yorkshire (gorsescitt.org.uk)

University of Leeds  Train to teach | School of Education | University of Leeds

Leeds Trinity  - Teaching - Study - Leeds Trinity University

National Institute of Teaching Teacher Training | School Centred Approach – The National Institute of Teaching (niot.org.uk)

The Post Graduate Apprenticeship route is a relatively new and exciting way to gain Qualified Teacher Status whilst still earning a salary. It’s a great route into teaching which is both financially viable and most closely aligned with the day to day life of a teacher.

The courses and subjects we offer can be found through the DfE Find link below and searching Carlton Academy Trust Teacher Training.
