Oulton Academy, part of Falcon Education Academies Trust, is a non-denominational secondary community school for girls and boys aged between 11 and 16, situated in the village of Oulton, in South Leeds, West Yorkshire.

We are recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to provide supervision of students by delivering cover work that has been set in accordance with academy policy. You will need to respond to questions, generally assist students to undertake set activities and uphold standards of behaviour in the classroom. In addition to cover needs, you will also be required to work alongside existing staff in specific curriculum areas providing general support for departments.

Directed time for teachers is below the national 1,265 hours of teaching
Bespoke CPD time each week means we can disaggregate three days per year to create three additional days of holiday in the year
All departmental meetings take place during the two hours L&P time each week
Staff receive high-quality professional development through each week on variety of professional learning opportunities which support the academy’s development plan or their own professional development.
Colleagues may have opportunities to work at other schools within Falcon to expand their experience.
Our collaborative nature of working supports teaching and learning in the classroom, provides where appropriate, cover for absent colleagues, thus reducing the need for Heads of Department/Senior Leadership Team to set cover work.
Independent counselling services are available for any colleague who requires support, for whatever reason.
