Mr. S Carr

Assistant Headteacher for Standards at Oulton Academy, I work closely with Heads of Department to ensure that high standards are consistently maintained across the school. A key part of my role is to identify and share best practice, helping teams to refine their approaches and drive improvement.

I am also the Designated Teacher for Looked After Children, where I take pride in advocating for some of our most vulnerable students. I work alongside pastoral and academic staff to ensure that every child in our care receives the support they need to succeed.

Beyond my work at Oulton Academy, I serve as the Trust Director of History, overseeing the quality and consistency of history provision across three secondary schools. I support subject leaders in developing a strong curriculum and ensuring that standards remain high across all key stages.

I am passionate about equity, collaboration, and creating systems that empower staff and students alike.
