As Assistant Principal responsible for Curriculum and Assessment at Oulton Academy, I oversee the strategic planning and organisation of our school timetable and subject options. My role ensures that students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum that supports their academic progress and personal development. Working closely with curriculum leaders and pastoral teams, I coordinate the structure of the school day and year, making sure that teaching time is maximised and aligned with our educational priorities.

I also lead the process of subject choices, guiding students and families through key transition points such as GCSE options. This involves designing pathways that reflect student interests, future aspirations, and national curriculum requirements, while maintaining flexibility and fairness. By managing these systems effectively, I help ensure that every student is placed in the right subjects, with the right support, to achieve their full potential.
