Year 8 Geographers Begin Flora & Fauna Fieldwork
Oulton Academy's Year 8 Geographers began their Flora and Fauna Fieldwork last week with Mr Thornton and the Geography Team.
Courtesy of some fantastic work by our Eco-Committee over the last few years, which has resulted in Oulton Academy receiving the International Green Flag award, we have been able to explore the two wildflower and wildlife gardens around our site.
Students have been identifying tree saplings, wildflowers and bird species and seeing first hand the great biodiversity our school grounds has to offer.
In the pictures below, you can see Mr Thornton telling the students about the rabbit that has taken up residence in our small wildflower garden by North block!
