World Book Day

In a delightful celebration of literature and imagination, Oulton Academy embraced World Book Day with enthusiasm last week, showcasing the power of books to inspire and engage young minds. Students and staff alike immersed themselves in the joy of reading, with a series of vibrant activities highlighting the importance of literature in education.

Teachers adorned their classroom doors with imaginative decorations, each paying homage to beloved literary works. One particularly engaging aspect of the day was the "What Are We Reading?" quiz, where students guessed what books staff members were currently reading.

As well as the in school activities, all students received a £1 book token which gave students access to buy a book for just £1 from a varied selection, or get £1 off a book of their choice.
