Oulton Academy Teams Up with Martin House Children's Hospice for "The Build" Project

This week, Oulton Academy proudly announces its partnership with Martin House Children’s Hospice, supporting their transformative "The Build" project. This collaborative effort aims to create a nurturing environment for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Martin House Children’s Hospice, a beacon of care for over three decades, is expanding its facilities through "The Build" project. This initiative will enhance their ability to provide comfort and specialised care, ensuring that families have a supportive space during challenging times. More details about the project can be found on their website.

To kickstart our involvement, Oulton Academy held a successful bake sale this week. Our dedicated students, teachers, and staff members came together to showcase their culinary skills, with all proceeds going directly to Martin House. The event was a heart-warming success, raising a total of £94.55.

Additionally, our KS3 year groups participated in assemblies focused on the meaningful work of Martin House. Students learnt about the impact of their support and how their contributions can make a difference in the lives of others.

Principal Mr Higgins expressed his pride in the academy's community spirit, saying, "It’s inspiring to see our students and staff so enthusiastically supporting such a worthy cause. Martin House Children's Hospice does extraordinary work, and we are thrilled to contribute to 'The Build' project."

The bake sale and assemblies are just the beginning. Oulton Academy looks forward to further supporting Martin House Children’s Hospice through various fundraising activities and awareness events throughout the year. Together, we can help build a brighter future for the children and families at Martin House.
