Important Announcement: School Closure

Dear Parents/Carers,

We regret to inform you that Oulton Academy is closed today due to unforeseen circumstances. A burst main sewage line outside the school has caused a significant backup in our system, leaving us with no access to water on-site. This means we are unable to provide essential services such as toilets, handwashing facilities, and food preparation.

The health and safety of our students, staff, and community is our highest priority. Due to the risk of serious contamination, we have made the difficult decision to close the school temporarily.

We are working closely with Yorkshire Water to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. However, this is a situation beyond our control, and we appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

Oulton Academy

Dear Parents/Carers, Yorkshire Water are currently on site trying to locate the origin of the drain blockage which they believe is beyond the academy grounds and causing sewerage to back up to the school. They are working as quickly as possible to resolve this and we will update again as soon as we know more.
