Year 7 Students Shine at Poetry Workshop and Theatre Final
Recently, a group of enthusiastic Year 7 students embarked on a poetic journey by taking part in a creative writing workshop that culminated in a thrilling live performance at the Carriageworks Theatre.
The students, who had been working hard on their original poem titled "What Makes it Count", took to the stage in front of a packed audience that included proud family members and supporters. Competing against a host of other talented schools from across the local area, the team delivered a heartfelt and confident performance that resonated with the crowd.
Although the team did not take home the top prize, their spirited delivery and teamwork earned them admiration and applause. More importantly, the experience left a lasting impression on the young poets, who described the event as inspiring, exciting, and unforgettable.
The poetry workshop and final performance offered students a unique opportunity to express themselves creatively, build confidence, and celebrate the power of words. It was a moment of pride not just for the students, but for their families and school community as well.
