Brilliant Club Graduation Ceremony 2025: A Celebration of Academic Aspiration

Students from Oulton Academy proudly marked the culmination of their Brilliant Club journey with a memorable graduation ceremony held at the University of Sheffield. The event brought together pupils from eight different schools, all of whom had taken part in the prestigious Scholars Programme, designed to stretch and challenge high-potential students through university-style learning.

The day began with a tailored guidance session, offering students valuable insights into university life and higher education pathways. This was followed by a guided tour of the University of Sheffield’s impressive campus, giving students a glimpse into the academic environments they may one day call home.

The highlight of the day was the graduation ceremony itself, where students were formally recognised for their hard work and dedication. In a proud moment for Oulton Academy, one of our students was invited to deliver a speech to the entire hall. Speaking with confidence and enthusiasm, they reflected on the fascinating content of the course and the wealth of new knowledge they had gained through the programme.

The Brilliant Club experience has not only enriched our students academically but also inspired them to aim higher and believe in their potential. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing where their academic journeys take them next.
