Summer Blitz Brings Joy and Celebration to Oulton Academy

Oulton Academy wrapped up a fantastic academic year with a vibrant and fun-filled Summer Blitz, celebrating the achievements, positive behaviour, and resilience of its students. The event, held on the school grounds, was a resounding success, filled with laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

From the adrenaline-pumping tug of war to the fast-paced action of table tennis, students had a wide variety of activities to enjoy. The "Spin the Wheel" game added an element of surprise and excitement, while the chill-out area offered a perfect space to relax and reflect on the year’s accomplishments.

One of the biggest hits of the day was the ever-popular "Sponge the Teacher" station, where students gleefully took aim at their brave (and soaked!) teachers. It was a moment of light-hearted fun that brought the whole school community together.

Principal John Higgins praised the event, saying:

“The Summer Blitz is a celebration of everything our students have achieved this year—not just academically, but in their behaviour, attitude, and spirit. It’s a joy to see them enjoying themselves and being part of such a positive school culture.”

A special thanks goes to Nick Carolan and his dedicated team, whose hard work and creativity made the event possible. Their planning and enthusiasm ensured a smooth and memorable day for everyone involved.

As the sun sets on another successful year at Oulton Academy, the Summer Blitz stands as a shining example of the school’s commitment to recognising and rewarding student success in a fun, inclusive, and meaningful way.
