Oulton Academy Football Teams off to Incredible Start

Oulton Academy Year 7 Kick Off with a Stunning 10–3 Victory!

Oulton Academy’s Year 7 football team made a sensational debut in their first ever match together, storming to a 10–3 win over Prince Henry’s Grammar School in Cup Round 1.

Despite being new to competitive school football, the team gelled quickly and delivered a performance full of energy, teamwork, and attacking brilliance.

  • Zack C led the scoring with 4 goals,
  • Dan P added 2,
  • Henry W and Zechariah F each scored 1,
  • and 2 own goals from the opposition sealed the emphatic win.

To celebrate their incredible success, the team were rewarded with a VIP table at breaktime and treated to breaktime snacks—a well-deserved recognition of their hard work and team spirit.

Year 8 Continue Their Dominance

The Year 8 team also kicked off the season in style, beating Gateways School 13–2 in their cup fixture. They followed this up with an unbeaten run at last week’s tournament at Woodkirk, securing wins against:

  • Woodkirk Academy
  • Mt. St. Mary’s
  • Temple Learning Academy

With both year groups showing such promise, Oulton Academy football is off to a flying start this year.
