Eco-Prom - Do you have any prom clothing or accessories?
At Oulton Academy we care deeply about environmental issues and have a strong desire to actively protect our planet. Our students are increasingly aware of the impact that fast fashion has on the environment and, in a bid to become more eco-friendly, Oulton Academy wants to put together a classy clothing rail to offer any Year 11 students who would prefer to wear pre-loved to their summer prom rather than buy something brand new that they will only wear once and likely discard.
With that in mind, we are asking the local community for help:
Do you have any prom clothing or accessories gathering dust that might instead look great on one of our students?
If you have any items that you’d like to donate to our environmentally friendly clothing rail, please drop them into the academy. We are after dresses, shirts, ties, bags etc. Anything goes in our bid to be green! (Other colours are, of course, welcome.)
We are hoping to have our rail ready by the end of April, so we would welcome donations by Friday 31st March 2023.
