Leeds Rhinos Foundation Nine's Festival

Last week, our Year 9 rugby team took part in the Leeds Rhinos Foundation Nine's Festival. The top two teams from this festival will be promoted to the Super league round with the bottom two through to the Championship round later in the year. The winners of the Super League festival will then be able to play under lights at Headingly Stadium.

Oulton Academy played their 1^st match against Cockburn and won 5 tries to 2. They played their 2^nd match against a strong Leeds West Academy and drew 5 tries all. It all came down to the final match - win or draw would be good enough for the lads to be promoted through. They played against the home side Abbey Grange, both teams sharing tries one after another. In the final moments the Oulton Academy boys held on to make it 3 tries all.

PROMOTION to the Super league festival it is and a date at Headingley stadium up for grabs!
