Next Half-Term: Assessment and Wellbeing at Oulton Academy
The upcoming half-term is a busy period for pupils at Oulton Academy. Staff will be reporting on pupils’ current progress and attainment to inform progress reports, which will be shared at the end of the term.
Below is an overview of the assessments scheduled for pupils in Years 7 to 10. You can access this information by clicking on your child's year group below. The information is provided in the tables, or you can watch a short video summary.
We encourage all pupils to prepare thoroughly and make full use of the resources provided by their teachers.
Year 11 assessment information was provided during their information evening, and we encourage you to review the PPE schedule and related materials over the half-term.
As we approach this assessment period, we recognise the importance of supporting pupils’ mental health and wellbeing. While academic progress is important, we understand that assessments can sometimes feel overwhelming. At Oulton Academy, we are committed to supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. We promote a balanced approach to revision and rest, and we encourage pupils to speak with their teachers, learning manager, or a trusted adult if they feel anxious or stressed. Simple steps such as getting enough sleep, staying active, and talking about worries, can make a big difference.
Please remind your child that these assessments are an opportunity to demonstrate what they’ve learned so far. We are proud of their efforts and resilience, and we’re here to support them every step of the way.
If you have any questions or would like further information or support, please contact the Academy at info@oa.catrust.uk. Your query will be forwarded to the relevant colleague.
Good luck to all our pupils in their assessments next half-term!
