Ready Steady Cook with the Royal Navy
Careers in the catering industry can be as diverse as working in a Michelin starred restaurant to working a quaint village tea shop.
So that our students can see a wide range of catering and hospitality roles we invited staff from the Royal Navy Catering Services to run a ‘Ready Steady Cook’ session. The Navy crewmen tasked the group with preparing two dishes – a main and a pudding – in under an hour.
Racing against the clock to create a delicious meal, our Year 10 students chopped, sautéed and simmered their way to two fabulous-tasting dishes. Well done to the group who rose to the challenge magnificently and prepared a delicious Spaghetti Bolognese and mini meringues.
