Oulton Academy – Finalists at the Tes Awards 2025!

Oulton Academy is delighted to announce its nomination for Secondary School of the Year at the prestigious Tes Schools Awards 2025. This recognition celebrates the exceptional efforts and achievements of schools nationwide.

Adding to the excitement, John Higgins, our inspirational Head of School, has also been shortlisted for Headteacher of the Year. His leadership and dedication have been pivotal in driving the school's success.

Oulton Academy is one of just six schools in West Yorkshire to be shortlisted this year – and proudly one of three schools from Carlton Academy Trust to receive national recognition this year. This highlights not only the exceptional work happening at Oulton, but the consistent quality and ambition across the entire Trust.
