Spooktacular Success: Year 7 Halloween Disco Marks a Brilliant End to the Half Term!

Oulton Academy was buzzing with excitement as our Year 7 students came together for a frightfully fun Halloween Disco to celebrate the end of their first half term. With costumes ranging from creepy to creative, the event was a fantastic showcase of our students’ enthusiasm and school spirit.

The disco was well attended, with students enjoying music, dancing, games, and plenty of treats. It was more than just a party—it was a celebration of the hard work, resilience, and positive attitude our Year 7s have shown since joining the Academy in September.

The event perfectly reflected our core values. Students showed aspiration by embracing the opportunity to connect and celebrate their achievements. Respect was evident throughout the evening, with an inclusive and joyful atmosphere where everyone looked out for one another. Responsibility shone through as students helped with decorations, supported their peers, and contributed to tidying up at the end.

Assistant Principal and first aider for the evening, Mr. Nick Carolan, said, “It was fantastic to see our Year 7s enjoying themselves and celebrating a successful start to their journey at Oulton Academy. The disco was a great way to reward their efforts and build a sense of community. I’m proud of how they’ve settled in and excited to see what they’ll achieve next.”

A huge thank you to Mrs Owen and all the staff helpers who made the event possible. Here's to a restful break and an even stronger second half of the term!
