Attendance Success Rewarded with New "Spin the Wheel" Initiative

At Oulton Academy, we know that excellent attendance is one of the biggest factors in achieving success at school. That's why we are delighted to launch our exciting new attendance initiative, "Spin the Wheel", designed to reward students for making every day count.

Every Tuesday, students who achieved 100% attendance during the previous week are entered into our prize draw and have the chance to spin the wheel for a fantastic reward. With prizes including Love2shop vouchers, sweets and treats, queue-jump passes, and many more exciting rewards, there is plenty up for grabs for those who demonstrate excellent commitment to their education.

The initiative forms part of our ongoing drive to improve attendance across the academy, and we are already seeing the positive impact. In fact, attendance at Oulton Academy is currently at its highest level for three years, reflecting the dedication of our students, families and staff in working together to prioritise being in school every day.

Regular attendance is vital. Students who attend school consistently not only achieve better academic outcomes but also benefit from stronger friendships, improved wellbeing, and greater opportunities to participate in the wider life of the academy. Every lesson matters, and even missing a small amount of school can mean missing valuable learning experiences.

The new Spin the Wheel initiative celebrates those students who are making attendance a priority while also encouraging everyone to strive for excellent attendance each week. The atmosphere around the weekly draws has been fantastic, with students eagerly waiting to see who will be the latest lucky winners.
